24th September 2019, Abu Dhabi—Expo-Sciences International, the biggest science event in the UAE, launched its three-day event that highlights scientific creativity of young aspirant scientists at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi. Under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the event will be showcasing innovative science inventions and projects of more than 2,000 participants from over 68 countries from 24th to 26th September.
A proud partner, LuLu Group unveiled its planetarium show for students and guests to enjoy watching the galactic world of planets, stars and the whole of universe. Prior to the event, LuLu spearheaded planetarium shows for free at Khalidiyah and Mushrif Malls in Abu Dhabi during the past weekends.
Speaking on the occasion, Yusuff Ali M.A said: “We are extremely honoured to support this special event dedicated to strengthening the youth community which is geared towards science and technology. LuLu Group believes that this event will help develop a scientific culture within the young people, especially in this time that the UAE is going to make history in the space mission of the first Emirati astronaut. Our planetarium show is a great opportunity for us to bring a unique experience that combines education and entertainment in one place.”
For the UAE leg, young Emiratis have introduced smart solutions, such as a Smart Wheel featuring a self-driving transport device made for people with disability and the elderly in airports, and also an AI-based mobile application for diagnosis and cure for eczema.
LuLu Group has always been a key promoter of social initiatives, sustainability, and environment protection. Over the years, the region’s top retailer has initiated many projects towards these advocacies and will continue to do so in the future.
