LULU LAUNCHES SUBSIDISED RAMADAN KITS IN STORES Welcomes Consumer Protection Director Dr. Hashim Al Nuaimi in Store Visit

12th May 2019, Abu Dhabi, UAE—LuLu, the largest hypermarket chain in the Middle East, introduced the subsidised Ramadan kits during the store visit of Dr. Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director of Competitiveness and Consumer Protection, at LuLu Hypermarket Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of government officials and LuLu dignitaries. Offered at discounted prices, there are two Ramadan kits, which are priced at AED 120 and AED 85 for 20 and 12 products respectively.

LuLu Hypermarket Regional Director Abubaker TP said: “LuLu expects to sell 700,000 kits this year, as we received a massive response from the 500,899 baskets that were sold in 2018. Ramadan is a great time to give back to our customers through highlighting big discounts and attractive packages. We are not only doing our best to offer the best prices in time before for the festive season, but also involving the community in charitable acts through donation initiatives in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Cares, Mohammed bin Rashid charity, and other such organizations. We are expecting that these initiatives will be worth more than 110 million dirhams.”

Besides the Ramadan kits, more than 10,000 products are on offer weekly, featuring a wide range of high-quality products in different categories, such as groceries, fresh produce, household, health and beauty, electronics, mobile phones, garments, and so much more.

Besides being well-known for its wide product range and outstanding customer service, LuLu has always been a key promoter of social initiatives, sustainability, and environment protection across the globe. Over the years, the region’s top retailer has initiated many projects towards these advocacies and will continue to do so in the future.
