LuLu opens new hypermarket in Abu Dhabi Khalifa city

Abu Dhabi:  LuLu Group has launched its latest state-of-the-art hypermarket at Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi, increasing its total store count to 195 globally.

Located in the heart of Khalifa City at Forsan Central Mall,  on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi, the new Hypermarket was inaugurated by H.E. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) & Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council in the presence of  H.E. Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri, Director General of Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), Yusuff Ali MA, Chairman & MD of Lulu Group and other dignitaries.

The 160,000 square feet hypermarket showcases an exceptional design with modern layout and aesthetic lighting. Created by top international designers, the new hypermarket’s design features wooden ceiling elements, neutral-colored fixtures and modern patterns with a unique combination of contemporary and industrial style.

On the occasion, Yusuff Ali MA, said, “We are glad to see another beautiful store opening that will cater to our loyal patrons living in Khalifa City and its adjoining neighbourhoods which includes Mohamed bin Zayed City, Al Falah, Yas Island, Al Raha etc. Through our internationally sourced quality products and enthusiastic staff, LuLu has been the preferred shopping destination of different nationalities and we will continue to preserve this identity with our new store. This hypermarket at Forsan Central Mall introduces a newly improved design and space, which will further strengthen the world-class shopping experience that we have always been committed to.”

The Abu Dhabi based Lulu has announced that it is marching ahead with its expansion plans despite the challenges faced due to COVID-19 pandemic across the world.

It has opened seven hypermarkets in different regions in this year till now (between June to October) along with a dedicated fulfilment center in Abu Dhabi for its e-commerce operations.  In UAE alone, more than 20 hypermarkets are lined up to be opened in the coming years.
